a world map

There I was being all smug about how much traveling I've done. HA! I've only been to 19 countries. Oh well, that leaves plenty of opportunities for more journeys.

I've not done this kind of link before so I don't know what will happen. Here goes:

So, I would love to go to many island destinations, but I'd really like to go to South-eastern Asia. I love to go to exotic places. It would be amazing to go to Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and so on. India would be incredible as well. I suppose I'd go anywhere given the opportunity, but I do prefer to experience something other than the familiar. One day . . .

What does your map look like?

Mexico

I have been to Mexico several times. Forever ago (20 years!) I spent about a month studying and traveling in Cuernavaca with a friend. I've enjoyed many beach vacations with friends, then with husband and now with our own family. I'm sad that the crime rate has been skyrocketing and it isn't so safe to travel there. Is it really dangerous? There are so many more beaches to explore!

Here is my map:

I especially love the beaches in Quintana Roo. The ocean is warm and gentle and the beaches are fantastic. I suppose once I felt rejuvenated, I'd be interested in going inland to visit ruins and such. That will take quite a while, though!

traveling along

One important thing to me is seeing the world. I know I am a richer person because I have traveled to many countries and connected with the people and culture. I'm thrilled that I've been able to instill that value into our daughters, especially the older one. Hopefully the younger one will follow suit. I saw another blogger do this map, so I did it too.

I d feel as though I haven't traveled much in the US. Some of the states I have merely driven through. Others I have lived in for years or at least months. There is still plenty to see in my very own amazing country.

I'm going to look for a map of the world where I can do the same thing.

Alone

Just because I am alone, whether it be a minute or a day, doesn't mean I can or need to eat. Am I hungry? Have I prepared food? What is my plan? Eating is a thoughtful and nourishing activity.
